  2. Ms. Mubeena K C of the Department of Economics have won ACQUIRE Scholarship for live social science research projects in 2011.
  3. 8 students from the Department of Development Economics secured selection in the ASAP training Programme, 8 Students are selected for Scholar Support Programme and 7 More students selected for Walk With A Scholar Programme in the year 2012-13, and 2013-14

  6. Students of the Department of Economics have secured prizes in National and State Level for various sports items like Power Lifting and Weight Lifting.
  7. The Department of Economics has contributed many teachers and government employees across Kerala over years.

  1. Students of the Department of Economics actively partake of the activities of NSS, NSS and Bhoomitra sena Club in the college.
  2. Our students engage in educating the tribal dropouts under the auspices of NSS.
  3. Faculty members of the Department of Economics serve as mentors of Walk with a Scholar Programme and Scholar Support Programme.
  4. Faculty from the Department has served as Returning Officer of Students Union Election.
  5. Faculty from the Department serves as NSS Programme Officer of a unit.
  6. Faculty from the Department of Economics serves as Coordinator of the C-JOST Programme.
  7. Faculty from the Department of Economics serves as Coordinator of Career Guidance and Placement Cell in the college.
  8. Faculty members of the Department of Economics serve as Presiding officers during national and assembly elections.
  9. The Department periodically conducts national and regional seminars which are of a topical nature for the dissemination of ideas, and also participate and present papers in seminars.
  10. The faculty members as well as students publish scholarly articles in journals and web sites.
